Meet our commercial and home restoration team
Originally from Charlotte, I graduated from Appalachian State University in 1984. For 10 years prior to owning American Restoration, I was a Fire and Storm Adjuster with State Farm Insurance. There I found my passion for working as a disaster specialist. My greatest strength as Owner/CEO of AmRest is providing a level of comfort to our clients, agent and adjusters that we can solve almost all problems and make everything better. I enjoy and take great pride in helping people during their time of need and I also love putting people to work. If a person wants to work, I will do all I can to find them a job. Both of these passions work hand in hand to make American Restoration a successful company that helps people when disaster strikes. Since disasters don’t always occur on weekdays, I work 7 days a week but on rare occasions I enjoy fly-fishing for small mouth bass and mountain trout. I also enjoy walking with my wife and working out at our local YMCA..
As a Business Development Professional with American Restoration, I enjoy meeting new people and building relationships with industry professionals. What I love most about my job is the opportunity to develop relationships with insurance and industry professionals and educate the general public on the services we offer at American Restoration. I also enjoy managing our marketing efforts and business development. I graduated from N.C. State University and have over 14 years of business development and marketing experience. When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me with my family, or teaching yoga.
Born and raised in Shelby, NC, I have worked in the restoration industry for 20 years. My current role with American Restoration is Job Superintendent. One of my strengths is providing excellent service to our clients. My skills and knowledge in the field ensure them comfort in knowing that we will handle their most valuable asset like our own and have it back to new as soon as possible. I am IICRC certified in water, fire and smoke restoration, carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, carpet repair and reinstallation and upholstery and fabric cleaning. I also received structural drying certification from Chuck Dewald’s Structure Drying School and participated in Level 1 Infrared Thermography Training.
I have worked as Senior Project Manager for American Restoration for four years and enjoy it thoroughly. One of my strengths as a Project Manager is working with our clients to understand their problems and guiding them throughout the restoration process. Prior to joining the AmRest team I built houses with a large residential development company. I enjoy being outside and spend much of my personal time hiking with my wife, walking my dogs, gardening and doing yard work.
As a Project Manager for American Restoration, I work to rebuild, repair and restore homes and businesses after a disaster has struck. I have been working in the restoration industry for 8 years. Before joining American Restoration, I owned and operated a home renovation, custom deck and porch construction company. I received my Associate of Arts Degree from Isothermal Community College and my Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Gardner Webb University. I also hold my North Carolina General Contractor’s license. On the weekends, you can find me at Lake James, boating, jet skiing, relaxing and spending time with my wife and children.
I have worked at American Restoration as a Technician off and on for 5 years as I completed my bachelor’s degree. I received my Building Sciences degree from Appalachian State University with a minor in Sustainable Development and Community and Regional Planning. As a Job Superintendent, I strive to be friendly and convey my deep understanding of our customer’s situation to make the restoration process as smooth as possible.
When I’m not working, you can almost always find me outside riding bikes, skiing, hiking or gardening.
As Lead Carpenter for American Restoration, I enjoy putting things back together and helping rebuild our client’s lives after a disaster occurs whether it affects their home or business. I enjoy what I do and have actually worked as a carpenter at various companies for over 37 years. Outside of work, I enjoy attending football and basketball games. I also enjoy putting puzzles together.
Originally from Spartanburg County, SC, I joined the American Restoration team after working as the office manager for an outdoor lighting service. As the Coordinator at American Restoration, I wear many hats. Part of my job includes listening to my client’s issues and dispatching immediate help when necessary. One of my greatest strengths involves calming our clients if they are upset and reassuring them that our team will help remedy their issues. I love my job because I enjoy helping people in need. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband Matthew and our family, watching sports, helping our community, shopping, reading and traveling.
