Why did the customer contact us?

This property owner called American Restoration after he noticed water damage underneath his refrigerator. He realized the water was slowly leaking out of his ice maker's supply line. Faulty supply lines can cause severe damage due to the nature of the leak: water gradually seeps out over long periods of time, going unnoticed until the damage is severe enough to be seen or when mold becomes an issue. In this case, the damage had spread not only to the floor below the refrigerator, but also into the den and in the home's crawlspace.

After our mitigation crew handled the drying process—which also included the removal of wet and damaged flooring, drywall, and insulation—our reconstruction team, led by Jeff Wilson, began the repairs. The ceramic tile in the kitchen was matched and replaced, and matching hardwood was brought in for the repairs to the den. After the floors were installed and refinished, our crew cleaned, moved the property owner's furniture and décor back into the home, and removed the temporary containment walls.
